Gluten-Free Superfood Pesto

Pesto is one of our favourite sauces because it takes minutes to make, has great ingredients and is so versatile! You can put it on hot or cold pasta, chicken, cheese and bread, or even seafood! Classic pesto is made with basil, toasted pine nuts, lemon, olive oil salt and parmesan.
Our Hearthy Foods pesto is made classic but with added Spinach and Kale Flour. Giving it a vibrant green colour and lots of extra nutrients.
1. Store your leftover pesto in a jar or tupperware and drizzle olive oil on top to keep it from drying out.
1 bunch basil
1 tbsp Hearthy Foods Kale Powder
1 tbsp Hearthy Foods Spinach powder
1 lemon, juiced
1⁄2 cup parmesan, grated
1 tsp salt
1 cup olive oil
Freshly ground pepper
1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor except for the olive oil and blend for a few seconds. Then add olive oil and blend until desired consistency.
2. Place in an airtight jar or container and use within 5 days.
