One-Step Gluten-Free Beet Flour Hummus

Let's start the month off right with healthier eating and habits! This recipe is a great addition to your healthy snack rotation or as a salad or bowl topper to make your meals less boring (and colorful)! It’s a simple recipe of homemade hummus with Hearthy Foods' Beet Flour. The vibrant colour is great for spreads and fun for kids to dip in!

Recipe Tips:

1. You can store the hummus in an airtight container with a little bit of oil drizzled on top to keep it from drying out.
2. This hummus goes great with carrots, crackers, cucumbers, peppers and as an extra protein topping for a green salad.

Beet Hummus
Serves: 2 cups
Time: 15 minutes


1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lemon, juiced
3 tbsp tahini
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp beet powder


1. In a food processor or blender, add all of the ingredients and add 2-3 tbsp of water and blend until creamy.
