Tiramisu Mousse With Collagen!
Tiramisu Mousse By Micah Trainor
It’s holiday season! And in my kitchen that means tons of desserts. Since we’re all staying home this winter, why not step your dessert game up with some tiramisu mousse? It’s perfect for a fancy date night in, family dinner or small holiday treats! This recipe comes together in 15 minutes, and you can make it a day ahead as well.
I love this recipe because it’s airy, rich, and sweet but has a nice espresso kick! Feel free to use decaf if that’s your thing, or instant coffee as well.
Recipe Tips:
- Leave your cream cheese out on the counter for an hour before mixing. 2. If you don’t have chocolate to shave, feel free to leave bare or use extra cacao. 3. I wouldn’t suggest any dairy substitutions for this recipe, but you can double or halve the recipe as needed.
Tiramisu Mousse
Serves 4
15 minutes
1 ½ tsp espresso powder
¼ cup hot water
1 cup cream
4 tbsp Hearthy Collagen
1 ½ cup icing sugar
8 oz low fat cream cheese, softened
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp Hearthy Cacao flour (powder)
2 tbsp semi sweet chocolate, shaved
- Mix the espresso powder and hot water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, add cream and 4 tbsp of collagen, and whip with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, whip cream cheese until soft and creamy, then add vanilla and espresso and mix until combined.
- Gentle fold the whipped cream into the cheese mixture.
- In 4 glasses, pipe or spoon a layer of the tiramisu mixture on the bottom then dust a thin layer of the cacao flour. Continue until you reach the top of the glass and sprinkle shaved chocolate on top.
